Due to the 2020 SATs being cancelled, it is not currently decided whether the KS2 SATs in 2022 will include a separate KS2 Science 'sampling' SATs paper. 2022 will be the seventh year of 'new-style' SATs tests under the new national curriculum. 2022 KS2 SATs Dates.

The essay is optional and will not be factored into your overall SAT score. The essay scores will be shown separately on the report. Your essay, should you choose to write one, will be scored on three measures: Reading, Analysis and Writing (a good way to remember it: RAW).

The June 2021 SAT will be the last administration to include the SAT Essay. If you are signed up for the SAT Essay in June but no longer wish to take it, you can cancel the essay portion of the test for free in your online account until the registration deadline.Apr 27, 2021
As an admission tool, students should consider the Essay as canceled. Compass recommends our students forgo the SAT and ACT optional essays on future exams. The SAT Essay and ACT Writing continue to pose a conundrum for students. Students who have already taken the essay should not be overly concerned about scores.
On Jan. 19, the College Board announced that it will eliminate the optional essay section from the SAT as well as the SAT subject tests. These moves come after the COVID-19 pandemic rendered traditional standardized test-taking difficult or inaccessible to many high school students.Jan 28, 2021
