The title of your personal narrative is as much a part of the essay as the words that follow it. Word for word, the title may in fact be the most important part of your composition: it is the first thing that your reader sees, and it sets the tone for everything that comes after it.Mar 10, 2017

Don't Use “You” As we said, feel free to use “I” or “we” in your college essays. This is your story, so tell it. But it would be very rare for you to have a reason to address the admissions officer directly, unless you are somehow writing a note to a specific person.May 17, 2018

The only punctuation mark needed for a title would be a question mark at the end—if the title is a question. It is always considered perfectly acceptable to use questions as titles for any piece of writing—a poem, a novel, an essay, a short story, or any other literary piece.Oct 5, 2011
First page: Your first page should have your essay title (usually your essay question) at the top of the page. Make sure you include a detailed bibliography of all the texts you refer to in your essay – but not every text you have read, only the ones you refer to – at the end of your paper.
If you're writing an essay for a particular class, your instructor should have given you a guide for essay format, but if not, you should put your name, name of the course, and date at the top right or left margin of the first page and, if writing for a class, paginate at the bottom.
The heading of the essay should follow a format which is:
- Write your name on the first line of the heading.
- Write your instructor name below your name.
- Write the name of the subject and the subject code below the instructor's name.
- Write the date of submission below the subject name.
