The stoic angel is seated on the marble gravestone of canning entrepreneur Francis Haserot and his family. Holding an extinguished torch upside-down, it represents a symbol of life extinguished. Wings are outstretched and the gaze is straight ahead. IN THE END, DEATH ALWAYS WINS. LEST THE FACES NOT BE FORGOTTEN... This channel is focused on casually walking and viewing a handful of the thousands of forgotten names and faces at various cemeteries near and afar. Seeing their faces up close. And when able, telling the stories behind their names. Most graves are unknown and lost to history. Some are famous. And some infamous.... ....and some with tragic endings. #graves #cemeteries #death
Very odd his preacher would say he was ungodly..... The Holy Bible says not to cut your beard.
The opening music a long with the grounds and the photography ( even tho its a cemetery ) is total Americana to my senses. Just lovely.
My great grandfather was very proud of his beard. It was so long it came nearly to his waist. Over 100 years later, he is still known for it.
Good for Mr. Palmer! As a beard wearer myself, he is now my hero!
Amazing story , love how this guy stuck up for himself , great video
He could be Kris Kringle on Christmas Day! He looked nice with that beard! RIP to him and his wife!
Looks like Santa Clause woow
must of been a cult i have never heard of someone being persucted for a beard, Jesus probably had one for God sake
No one seemed to think Abe Lincolns beard was an issue.
A very interesting story, albeit, a very odd one. During this man's life, beards were still very common in this country. For some odd reason, there existed a pocket of "anti-beard" fools in that area of the state of MA. They would castigate this man for having a beard yet go to church on Sunday and worship Christ who, when on Earth, sported long hair and a beard.
I have heard his story before but it never ceases to interest me. Good for him for standing on his principles. After all, sporting a beard doesn't hurt other people.
Sadly, not much has changed. Though beards are now considered okay, some people still persecute those they believe are ungodly because they don't fit into their "brand" of Christianity. But a great story Ron, thank you.
he is Santa Claus.
Rip sir
That's a great Santa beard. Weren't beards common during that time? I'm surprised that people took such offense.
I've in front of evergreen cemetery and I'm related to him
People were just as stupid then as they are today.
Wow that was interesting, especially when most folk imagine God to be long bearded and Jesus also, just like Joseph said. I am glad he lived a good life in the end. RIP Joseph. You look great by the way Ron in that colour of shirt it really suits you!
Wonderfully video he just love wearing he's beard l thank that it wonderfully he loves it Rip to a great man.
